Overlock machines are used to seam the edges of the napkins, hemming the elastics of the inner garments, seaming the trousers, serging the curtains, T-shirts, pillow covers, hemming the garments.

4. Four threaded stitch pattern- 514 stitch pattern
5. Five thread stitch pattern- 516 stitch pattern

Overlock sewing machines stitch structure is like a loop, the concept of overlock sewing machine is about needles and loopers. The 501 and 502 stitch pattern uses 1 needle and 1 looper, whereas 503 and 514 stitch pattern uses 2 needles and 1 looper at a time and 516 stitch pattern uses 2 needles and 2 loopers at a time.

502 stitch pattern is stronger than 501 stitch pattern and 503 stitch pattern is stronger than 502 and 501 and weaker than 514 stitch and similarly 516 stitch pattern is stronger stitch pattern.

Overlock sewing machines prices in India depends on the capability of stitch pattern type. 516, five threaded stitch pattern is more expensive than all other overlockers, and 501, single threaded stitch pattern overlocker is very inexpensive-ranges between Rs.3000/- to Rs.5000/-
